Not sure how far we went toda,y, but it seemed far. We got on the water before 10 and got off a little after 5.
As soon as we hit the water it started raining. Good timing. On and off all day. Mostly off.
Exited Alice Lake from the south and spent the rest of the day going up the Kawishiwi River. We are are just shy of Kivaniva Lake now with a spot on the river. Not too many portages today. That was nice, and since we where going upriver pretty little waterfalls at each portage. One is todays pic.
We trolled and cast up the river. I caught the biggest walleye I have ever caught I believe. I had a tape measure but he didnt want to sit still for a measuring. Roughly 20″. He was lucky we had portages to do! Sheila got a northern bigger than the walleye.
Another fishing note. I lost the spinner that caught all the walleyes yesterday to a massive northern. Switched to a steel leader. Today’s walleye caught trolling with a purple/white/black spinner.
Camp has a bunny. Can still see a little white on her feet. She has made three runs at the campsite so far. Not too scared.
This one way communication feels weird. Howard (the engineer of this Garmin to blog trick) did let us now it was posting. I hope those that wanted to find us did. All is good in the woods. Hope you are good too.
