The wish for wind at the back went unfulfilled. We did the full length of Pine Lake with a 15-20 right in thr face. Six hours – whew! Tired. We did get 7 bass during the strech though,.so we are at camp now getting ready to have our fourth fish dinner of the trip. Nice.
Our one rest stop not including a nice lunch stop, was on a pennisula. After we had been there for about 5 minutes we notice a loon setting on a nest. We were definitely too close, but we didnt see her. No partner around and he/she was perfectly still. Amazing creature. Bailed out of there as quietly as possible, but not before snapping a couple pics.
So the nice lake over has motorized boata and we can here them, so we are for sure transitioning out of the wilderness.
Maybe we will see some fireworks.for 4th of July! Happy 4th all. Hope yours was a good one.
