We explored the other side of the portage we are camped near today. Try as we might to catch a walleye the bass were intent on monopolizing the lines. Walley zero. Bass 20. The place was called Garbage Lake, lol. Must be a story there.
At the far end of our exploration we found a private complex on an island. Think it was mentioned that former Cabela's owners owned it. Pretty sweet 15 building complex at the end of Sanford Lake. The pic today is from the campsite on the other end of that island.
It rained a decent amount last night, hoped.that helped with park fires. It certainly helped with the fatness of the blueberries. We gorged today on the portage at a sprawling blueberry field. Yummy.
Fish reprieve night, we are having Mountain House lasagna.
Tomorrow we start back toward exit point and since we have more time maybe explore a few bays we paddled right by before. We will see.
