Ufta, long paddle today. We reversed a long day and added a side adventure to a waterfall and cooked fish for lunch. Didnt make it back here until 630pm. But knowing what a good campsite this was kept us going.
Saw one group of eight people all day.
I put a tape measure on the bass I caught today, 16.5 inches. Didnt beat Sheila's 18 incher.from yeaterday. Didnt eat it though, too big! Caught a few big northern today too. Well, in the 3-4 lb range.
At the waterfall Sheila spotted some mint, tasted spearminty, so I am currently putting tea the on.
The pic today was from the my failed attemot to go around the waterfall, did some moss covered rock climbing (do not recommend). But the view back toward where Sheila was standing was good, so we are calling that a win. On the other side of the water, nice portage and good waterfall views.
Tomorrow we shoukd get in range of our 11am Monday pickup. Yeah probably didnt mention that before. Anyone needs us we are having unplained net access by noon on Monday. If there is a hotel in Atikokan might have it for a full 24. If parks are still closed. Who knows…
